Stand in the corridor of the St Martins middle school for any length of time and it becomes apparent that there is something special here. There is laughter, there is warmth and there is a sense of community which we treasure. Research suggests that a key factor in school success for adolescents is feeling connected. St Martins provides many and varied ways for students to connect-with each other, with the teaching staff, and with the support staff. We know our students. We know their names, we know their families, we know their interests and passions, and we know their strengths and weaknesses in the classroom. As a school we strive for academic excellence- that's a given. As a community however, we reach for so much more. That's the St Martin's difference, and it shows, even in the corridor!
