The History of St Martins Lutheran College

Worship This is an important part of life at St Martins. Students at the college begin every school day with worship, focusing on Christ and what He has done for us. Classes have a short devotion time with their peers, which may include reading passages from the Bible, prayers, journaling, singing/listening to worship songs and personal reflection. Once a week classes of similar year levels gather together to worship and on Fridays all the classes and the school community gather together for a whole school worship time, which is lead by a school leader (either by our Pastor, Head of School, Head of Primary School, Head of Senior School or College Chaplain) and a class.

As Worship Coordinator, I oversee the planning and organization of worship times and I provide assistance to teachers and those leading devotions. I provide devotional ideas and teaching about themes and theological aspects to assist teachers in presenting the Gospel to students.

Whole school worship begins at 9am every Friday during term time in the Multipurpose Hall at the College, where students, families and visitors are welcome to attend. A morning tea is provided for families and visitors after the service. There is a beginning of the term whole school worship service every first Monday of term at 9am in the Multipurpose Hall at the College for students, families and visitors.
